From April to June 2020, the SLU Administration sends home stranded students to their respective provinces amid the lock-down. In the days before being homeward bound, concerted efforts was evident from the Louisian community to provide food and comfort to the students who could not go home due to the travel restrictions brought by the CoVid 19 Pandemic.
Spearheaded by the Office of External Relations, Media & Communications and Alumni Affairs through Director Mary Grace Baywong with the Office of Student Affairs through Dean Andrew Macalma, students were sent back to the provinces of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Bataan and Abra to name a few. The SLU Administration worked closely with the local government units as well as with the Baguio City Hall through Mayor Benjamin Magalong, ensuring that all students procured the necessary documents and clearances to enable their safe travel as well as following quarantine procedures and social distancing requirements.
